Board members said they were receptive to the committee’s suggestions, but many said they would need more information before they made any decisions. Board Vice President Dr. Dennis Ryan said that he had already ruled out any options that involved children changing schools every year. Trustee Roy Lester said that he was not opposed to letting Weiss narrow down the options, from an educational standpoint, because he is the “education leader of this community.” But Trustee Darlene Tangney said that she wanted to see a cost analysis for each of the options presented.

“I believe that we need dollar amounts every bit of cost associated with any of the options given tonight,” Tangney said. “I know it’s a very difficult task, but I really believe that if you want to talk transparency, that’s the way it’s done.”
