“Every year there are beloved pastors that are really well-liked by the parishes,” Dolan said. “Unfortunately, it’s sometimes difficult to have somebody who they really love move on. We understand that.
“Their parish, of course, is everything to them,” he added, “but the Bishop has to look at all 133 parishes in the diocese.”
