In Lawrence,  vehicles must be removed from the streets for plowing. If parking is not available, they can park at the Lawrence and Inwood railroad stations, officials said. A winter storm warning is in effect for both Nassau and Suffolk counties through 6 a.m. Wednesday.

"If you are going to the store, make that call to your neighbor and ask if there is something they may need."
