On Wednesday, Santaniello was arrested by Det. Sharpe at Long Beach Police Department headquarters and charged with the March 13 Shore Road burglary. He was arraigned at Long Beach City Court.

“The sharing of criminal intelligence in this case resulted in the arrest of the defendant for burglaries in two different jurisdictions,” Det. Lt. Stefan Chernaski, commanding officer of the LBPD’s Detective Division, said in a statement. “The cooperation with the Nassau County Police Department and New York State Parole officers enabled our respective departments to solve several open burglaries.”

“Public safety continues to be of paramount importance, and our Long Beach Police Department has once again done a remarkable job in tracking down a suspect,” added City Council President Scott Mandel.
