Police offer reward for capture of bank robber

Nassau County Police have released photos of the man suspected of robbing the Dime Bank in Valley Stream in the hopes that the public can assist in his apprehension.

Police are also offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the man's arrest. The robbery occurred on Dec. 28 at 11:45 a.m. at the bank, located at 175 W. Merrick Road.

He is described as a black male with a dark complexion, 30 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall with a stocky build wearing a dark colored jacket with large orange and white stripes, a black hoodie, black Baltimore Orioles baseball cap and blue jeans.

The man entered the bank, approached teller and presented a note demanding cash. The subject did not receive any money and fled on foot. He was last seen heading north on Fletcher Avenue.
