Police seek 1 for armed robbery

Police are searching for a suspect that robbed the BP gas station at 385 W. Merrick Road on Aug. 12.

A man entered the station at 11:45 p.m., brandished a black handgun and demanded money from the clerk, police said. He fled on foot westbound on Merrick Road with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect was described as black, between 20 and 25 years old, five feet eight with a thin build, wearing a green T-shirt and a camouflage baseball cap.

No injuries were reported.
