Police seek Valley Stream bank robber

Man fled to waiting car after demanding cash, detectives say

Police are seeking a man who they say held up a bank in Valley Stream on Thurs., Apr. 24.

According to Robbery Squad detectives, the male suspect presented a note to the teller at Roslyn Savings Bank, located at 75 N. Central Ave.

The teller complied, handing over an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect then fled on foot northbound to a dark colored vehicle, which then traveled eastbound on Rose Street.

There were five employees and no customers in the bank at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

Police describe the suspect as being in his 20s, 6’4” tall with a thin build and wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, dark jeans and a New York Yankees baseball cap.
