Queens man arrested for selling heroin

A Queens man was arrested in Franklin Square on March 25 for selling heroin to an undercover detective while his 18-month-old daughter was in the back seat. Reese R. Russell, 25, of Queens sold a quantity of heroin to an undercover detective for an agreed upon sum of money, along with his wife, Viktoriia Russell, 23 who was in the passenger seat.

Viktoriia Russell was interviewed by police and produced a fraudulent Connecticut driver’s license with fictitious information. The defendants were placed under arrest without incident and the child was given to a family member at the scene.

Reese R. Russell was charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Viktoriia Russell was charged with Possession of Forged Instrument 3rd degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. They were arraigned last Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.

According to detectives, the Long Island Heroin Initiative along with the Narcotics Vice Bureau worked with the Fourth precinct to conduct undercover operations.
