With raw intensity and swagger, the road-tested members of Tramps Like Us visit Eisenhower Park, for a dynamic tribute to Bruce Springsteen, true to the spirit and energy of The Boss. The band has received acclaim for capturing the classic Springsteen sound, complete with swaying sax player, while delivering the tunes with the same passion and conviction. Mark Salore, Brian “BO” Ognan, Ken Hope, Marty Matelli, and Jonathan Sanborn play selections from a repertoire of over 120 songs with such raw intensity that countless fans come away saying they thought they were listening to the E Street Band.

Beech Tree Concert Series
Enjoy the glorious grounds of Old Westbury Gardens and listen to some stirring sounds, at the first Beech Tree Concert of the season. Artist-in-residence cellist Suzanne Mueller performs with her trio Cross Island, featuring pianist Elinor Abrams Zyas and Yeou-Cheng Ma on violin/viola. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and settle in for a relaxing afternoon under the Gardens’ historic beech tree, weather permitting.

Fourth of July Fun

Independence Day 19th Century-Style
Step back in time and participate in rousing holiday festivities at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, as it would have been celebrated in 1865 at the end of the Civil War. The village honors the return of Civil War veterans, the preservation of the Union, and the 89th anniversary of the nation’s independence in this commemoration of a bygone era. Activities include traditional fiddle music, military drills, parades and ceremonies, at 2:30 p.m., and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Also enjoy a brass band concert and storytelling. Bring a picnic and relax with the sounds of some patriotic tunes in the background.
