Suspicious smell reported on Merrick Road

On Sunday, the Seaford Fire Department, under the command of Second Assistant Chief Keith Kern responded to 3937 Merrick Road for a reported natural gas odor.

This location consists of attached stores and second floor apartments. Firefighters using sophisticated gas detectors inspected the stores and dwellings.

Chief Kern also had firefighters go to the common roof of the incident to conclude their investigation. Firefighters had only normal reading by their equipment in the area inspected.
