The Family & Children's Association gets new CEO

After 18 months as interim president and CEO of Family & Children’s Association, Philip Mickulas has accepted this full-time position. Mickulas, who has been chief operating officer since 2000, stepped into the interim role following the untimely passing of Jim Harnett in January 2010.

“The Board of Trustees commends Phil Mickulas for his tireless efforts to Family & Children’s Association and those we serve, [and for] his commitment to FCA’s mission and his selflessness,” said broad chairwoman Patricia Pryor-Bonica.

The Chief Operating Officer position will not be filled immediately. A reorganization of the current executive team is underway to address this open position.

Prior to his role as COO, Mickulas was the executive director of the West Nassau Mental Health Center, which subsequently merged with Children’s House, and then, in 1998, with the Family Service Association of Nassau County to form the current Family and Children’s Association.

Family & Children’s Association is a registered, non-profit organization located at 100 E. Old Country Road in Mineola. For more information, visit www.FamilyandChildrens.org
