Multiple Long Beach residents have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on April 13 at 12:35 a.m. on the unit block of East Fulton Street. The victim, who is from Queens, came to Long Beach in response to a Facebook solicitation to sell a dirt bike, police said, where he was allegedly robbed at gunpoint.

According to police spokesman Lt. Eric Cregeen, the victim and four of his friends drove out from Queens to sell the bike, and upon meeting the buyer removed it from their vehicle. The victim was asked to ride the bike to demonstrate it was in working order and was approached by multiple males about two houses down who demanded he empty his pockets, Cregeen said. The victim was relieved of his cell phone as well as the dirt bike, police said.

Deon Philips, 16, Shaun Teemer, 16, and Isaiah Dokes, 20, all from Long Beach, were arrested and arraigned in Long Beach City Court in front of Judge Frank Dikranis and bail has been set at $50 thousand bond over $25 thousand cash.

They were charged with criminal use of a firearm, robbery first degree and robbery second degree, all felonies, Cregeen said.

They are due to appear in Nassau County Court on April 24 in front of Judge Alan Honoroff.

“Under Commissioner Tangney’s leadership, the Long Beach Police Department continues to do a tremendous job, fighting crime and protecting the safety of our residents,” City Councilmember Eileen Goggin said in a statement.
