Gathering Time
Malverne-based Stuart Markus brings his folk trio Gathering Time to Garden City for an evening of harmonious melodies. Markus, Hillary Foxsong and Gerry McKeveny are known throughout the northeast folk scene for their soaring harmonies and dynamic sets that range from sweet and sentimental to joyous and energetic, irreverently funny to heart-stoppingly serious. Their eclectic shows include new twists on traditional folk and beloved classics — and they’ve been known to delight audiences when they sprinkle in their own tunes. They will be debuting songs from their newest CD, scheduled for release shortly, along with old favorites and ‘60s covers. Singer Mara Levine also shares the stage.
