Voting for the ‘kook’

Posted

To the Editor:

I am catching up on some reading now that the Jewish holidays are over, and would like to comment on Randi Kreiss’s column “Embracing friends who embrace the Donald” (Oct. 6-12).

She and I had a series of exchanges some time ago, and it is not my intention to go again in that direction, but I would like to mention facts that were omitted.
Kreiss is obviously still smitten with Hillary Clinton despite her terrible record.

She writes about the lies that Donald Trump recounts without also writing that Clinton allegedly lies to the FBI, Congress and to the American people almost every time she opens her mouth.

Consider Clinton’s behavior while secretary of state and her dealing with foreign governments after huge donations were made to the Clinton Foundation or her amassing a fortune in speaking fees for her and her husband (almost a quarter of a billion dollars!). Can Kreiss think of an appropriate reason why one would bleach or totally smash her device other than to deceive?

I am horrified by things Trump has said and has been accused of saying, and voting for him is not something I will do with pleasure. He is kind of a kook, but with the choice of a kook or a crook, I must choose the kook.

We know what Hillary is and what she plans to do. Trump has set out his program and hopefully will make important changes that are sorely needed. For one thing, he has pledged to appoint Supreme Court justices who will uphold the Constitution. When Clinton was asked what she would look for in a judge, the word Constitution was never mentioned.

Kreiss mentioned Clinton’s experience as first lady. Why didn’t she Google “Travelgate” to refresh her memory of Clinton’s ruthless and cruel treatment of those who had served competently for years until she had her own plans for the position?

There is much more to say about Clinton’s lust for money and power, and her terrible temper, but I am done. I hope your readers will realize that Clinton is far from an ideal candidate for president. May God bless America with the right leader.
