On Tuesday, residents will vote on the school district’s $122.1 million budget for 2012-13, which school officials said maintains all existing programs and does not increase the operating budget.
The spending plan is 2.9 percent larger than the current budget, and includes a 3.74 percent tax levy increase, due exclusively to the repayment of the incremental debt service on the district’s School Preservation Plan, approved by voters in May 2009 to finance district-wide facility improvements.
Residents will also have an opportunity to vote for three candidates running for the Board of Education: incumbents Darlene Tangney and Gina Guma, and challenger Stewart Mininsky.
The budget vote is Tuesday, May 15, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the following polling centers:
West School, 91 Maryland Ave.
Lindell School, 601 Lindell Blvd.
225 W. Park Ave.
