St. Mary’s/Maris Stella Council 2228 of the Knights of Columbus in Lynbrook held their 97th Annual Communion Breakfast on April 22. The Knights honored the Rev. Michael Duffy, of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Malverne as the 2018 Humanitarian of the Year for his contributions in the community.
Duffy was accompanied by many family members to celebrate with him during the breakfast. Local politicians and village officials that included Malverne village Trustee Jack O’Brian, Town Councilman Anthony D’Esposito and County Executive Special Assistant Michael D’Ambrosino gathered for the communion breakfast, and each of them shared similar sentiments on Duffy.
