Bellmore-Merrick schools closed Thursday

For the fourth time in March, a nor’easter swept into the Long Island region on Wednesday, dumping nearly a foot of snow throughout the day and overnight in Bellmore and Merrick. Schools in both communities remained closed on Thursday as light snow continued to fall and road conditions remained dicey.
