Arrests

On Jan. 21 at 6:49 a.m., a Cedarhurst man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, obstructed view and operating without insurance on Sunrise Highway.

At 11:25 a.m. on Jan. 23, a man from West Babylon was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and criminal impersonation stemming from a traffic incident that occurred on Sept. 2.


A 35-year-old man from Massapequa Park was arrested on Jan. 24 at 10 a.m., and charged with possession of a forged instrument, no inspection, improper plates, obstructed plate, unregistered motor vehicle and no insurance on Horton Avenue.

On Jan. 26 at 7:30 p.m., a Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Merrick Road.

Petit larceny


On Jan. 19 at 4 p.m. a complainant reports that an unknown person entered her unlocked car, which was parked on Lenox Avenue, and removed a Beats boom box and a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. Losses totaled about $800.

Identity theft


On Jan. 22 at 2:30 p.m., a complainant reports that between Jan. 2 and 20, an unidentified person made charges to her Sterling National Bank checking account without her permission. The charges totaled nearly $7,000.
