David Trizano, a Mamorneck resident, was appointed the principal of North High School at this month’s board meeting. He fills a vacancy left by James Bolen, who recently accepted a position as principal of Cold Spring Harbor High School.

Trizano previously served as the assistant principal and was an administrative associate at Central High School from 1986 to 1990.

“It’s an honor and I’m sure it’s going to be a very exciting and interesting year,” Trizano said.

As assistant principal in North, Trizano helped introduce the school’s pre-prom event, which is held in conjunction with the Parent Teacher Association and the Spartan Club. Trizano also worked with social worker Karen Erlich to start the “Excellence in Education” program, which honors students who contribute to life at North High School.

Trizano holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and an Master of Science in Education. He also has a professional diploma in school district administration from Iona College.
