Elmont man arrested for child porn

Nassau Police report the arrest of an Elmont man, Julio Aracena, 32, of Clinton Street, for promoting a sexual performance by a child.

According to detectives, after an investigation from December 2016 through March 2017, several thousand images and videos of child pornography were downloaded from Aracena's home computer. Detectives from the Special Victims Squad- Child Exploitation Section and the FBI Long Island Child Exploitation Task Force executed a successful search of Aracena's home.

He was placed under arrest at his job in Farmingdale on Tuesday at 9:43 am.

Aracena is being charged with four counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and four counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child. He will be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
