Freeport man attacked with bottle

Freeport Police found a man severely bleeding from a wound on his arm off North Main Street and Leonard Avenue in Freeport on Sunday. According to police, the unidentified 43-year-old man was bleeding outside of his home from a laceration to his left arm. His girlfriend, Keishya Clemons, 38, from East Point, Ga. cut the man with a broken beer bottle.

Clemons fled the scene by foot and later arrested near North Main Street. She was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She was arraigned on Monday in the First District Court in Hempstead and held on a $3000 bond; attorney representing her was unknown at the time of press. However, Clemons will also be served with a warrant by the New York City Police Department for unknown charges.
