Freeport to host Memorial Day Parade

The William Clinton Story Post 342 will host the Freeport Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29, at 10 a.m. This year’s parade grand marshal is retired Lt.Col. Sandy Krigel of the U.S. Air Force. The procession will step off from Freeport High School on Brookside Avenue and proceed to Merrick Road, then west to Freeport Library on Ocean Avenue.

A ceremony to honor veterans will take place in front of the Freeport Memorial Library after the parade at 10:45 a.m. The Freeport High School Band will play “The Star-Spangled Banner,” followed by remarks from Mayor Robert Kennedy.
