Gang symbols were discovered spray-painted on a guardrail outside Wantagh Middle School yesterday morning at about 7:15am, Nassau police reported, adding that they are investigating the incident.
The Department said the graffiti spelled out “MS13” in red spray paint. The police are trying to determine whether the property belongs to the school district or the town of Hempstead.
A call to the school district for comment hasn’t been returned yet.
The graffiti was discovered outside the Middle School, along Beltagh Ave, on Wednesday, September 5, according to the police report. It was the second day of school.
