Man dies after crashing SUV into Oceanside Starbucks

A Brentwood man died on Feb. 9 after crashing his SUV into an Oceanside Starbucks.

According to a release by the Nassau County Police Department, Michael Fearon, 47, was driving his 2005 Suzuki south on Long Beach Road in Oceanside when he crossed into the northbound lane at about 2:15 a.m. After the SUV hit curbs and shrubs, it continued southbound until it crashed into the Starbucks, at 2755 Long Beach Road.

When NCPD officers found Fearon, he was unresponsive and wasn’t breathing. He was transported to South Nassau Communities Hospital by the Oceanside Fire Department, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to a social media post by the Fire Department, it is believed that Fearon suffered a medical emergency before the crash.
