Local author William Deon Jones will discuss his book, “The Individual,” at the Lakeview Public Library on Saturday, March 17, from 1 to 3 p.m. Jones will offer his insight on what he described as the philosophical perspectives of human individuality, diversity and socialization processes. Affordable Care enrollment assistance

The Malverne Public Library will host a session on Affordable Care enrollment on Monday, March 19, from 2 to 6 p.m. Unscheduled time slots are given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Come early if you need the earliest session at 2 p.m. Open enrollment for 2018 ended on January 31. However, if you have had a change of circumstance affecting your income, you can get help applying for health insurance at any time. Check out some the fascinating winter harbor seals that inhabit our waters during the final guided walk of the season along the Jones Beach shoreline, Sunday, March 18 1:30 p.m. Join a park naturalist on an hour and a half leisurely beach walk to an area where up to four species of seals can be observed.
