North Bellmore Subway robbed at gunpoint

Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a Subway restaurant in North Bellmore at gunpoint on Monday night.

According to Nassau County police, at 9:15 p.m., a male suspect entered the building, displayed a handgun and demanded that an employee give him cash. The suspect also stole a gold chain from around the employee’s neck, and fled westbound on foot, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately five-and-a-half feet tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a multi-colored ski mask and dark clothing, with black gloves.
