An off-duty New York City police officer from Elmont, and the father of five children including a newborn, was killed early this morning in a motorcycle accident on the Laurelton Parkway in Queens.

Police Officer Marc St. Arromand, 42, from Elmont was travelling southbound at around 5:30 a.m. while riding a motorcycle on the Laurelton Parkway between Merrick and Linden boulevards when police say he was ejected from his seat after losing control, struck a guard rail and was then struck by a 2017 Gray Chevrolet Camaro after coming to rest on the ground.

Paramedics reportedly rushed Arromand to Franklin General Medical where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Camaro stayed at the scene of the accident, and police reported that there were been no arrests related to the incident. An investigation is ongoing.

A GoFundMe page has been set up in Arromand's name to support his family, and can be found here.
