Seaford students learn to master money

Seaford Harbor Elementary School second-graders recently practiced counting money during a hands-on math lesson.
Teacher Krista Clark’s students played a game called Race to a Dollar, according to a school news release. The students paired off and took turns rolling a die. The die had different amounts on each side. As students rolled the die, they added money to their piggy banks to compete to determine who could earn a dollar first.
Students then competed to see who could earn the most money during time trials and converted their coins into larger denominations.
