Police: robbery at Oceanside credit union

Nassau County police are investigating a robbery that occurred on May 22 at the Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union in Oceanside at 12:42 p.m.

Detectives described the suspect as a roughly 5-foot-11 black man in his 30s, who at the time of the robbery was wearing a black knit hat, clear eyeglasses and a blue hooded jacket. Police officials reported that he approached a teller and handed them a demand note before fleeing on foot towards Kenneth Place with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.

Police also reported that they had reason to believe the suspect was involved in three other robberies in Nassau County occurring on Feb. 17 in Baldwin, March 27 in Freeport and May 9 in Roosevelt.
