The Seaford Broncos’ 2018 season, which began on September 23, kicked off with the team’s annual opening-day ceremony and family picnic, according to Bill Kind, director of communications for the Bronco’s Executive Board. Cheerleaders and football players from 13 Bronco teams were introduced to the crowd during the ceremony, after Bronco board members and local dignitaries spoke to those in attendance.

After the ceremony, the families all enjoyed a family barbeque for the rest of the day. Fun activities were spread throughout the day, such as a DJ and a bounce houses set up for the children. “The day was a great success, and the Broncos are excited for another great season,” Kind said in a news release.

The Long Island Broncos football and cheerleading organization was established in 1966 to provide the youth of the community with an opportunity to participate in a successful football and cheerleading program, according to the Bronco’s website.
