A day in the life

Received two walk-ins, one looking for advice about renovations, the other our Formica salesperson updating samples. Grabbed revised drawings for an ongoing house remediation from Hurricane Sandy, reviewed and photographed a house-lifting, stopped at a house-leveling, went back to the businesses to confirm yellow tape was removed, gave them copies of the inspector’s letters, settled bills, and arrived back at the office to meet another homeowner whose insurance claim was in jeopardy and to revise the professional’s report to reflect contractor’s estimates.

Met with a homeowner whose kitchen company redesigned that portion of the plans, and coordinated changes in time to meet a young man pouring his heart and life savings into his first restaurant. Realized I never finished this week’s column, missed lunch and dinner, and fell asleep attempting to watch the news. Whew!
