“Red Head Randy,” an anti-bullying horror film, will be screened at the Sunrise Multiplex in Valley Stream on Dec. 21. The film was partially shot in Valley Stream, and includes local residents.

Hammond, of PH Consulting & Media, and Deane, of Raymond Deane Films, both 31, have been working together for years. Instead of simply releasing the film, they decided to create the “Red Head Randy” Stand up to Bullying Tour to promote their work and teach lessons on anti-bullying. After the screening in Valley Stream, moviegoers can participate in a question-and-answer session with the two men behind it.

“Kids can’t let other people’s opinions of them define who they are,” Hammond said. “They could be whoever they want in life.”

According to Hammond, he and Deane are in the process of raising additional funds to hire an agent to distribute the movie and submit it to film festivals.
