Valley Stream District 13 has given its website a fresh new look. The redesigned site was unveiled the second week of January after about five months in the works.

Superintendent Dr. Adrienne Robb-Fund said the new site is easier to navigate and that there are several new features. It features a calendar of events which can be downloaded to personal electronic calendars. It can also be customized for users who only want events from a specific school.

The homepage of the site features rotating news stories from the districts and its four elementary schools. Robb-Fund said there are more photos with each story featuring district students. Another change is the addition of a search feature.

The new site contains the same wealth of academic resources for students and parents, information about each school, the Board of Education and district administration, and emergency announcements.
