Lynbrook High School was recently named among the top 100 public schools on New York by ranking website Niche.com.

Niche, formerly known as College Prowler, is a ranking and review website that is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pa. Each year, the site rolls out its top 100 schools in the state and country. It ranked Lynbrook No. 88 this year.

“We are very proud to have Lynbrook High School listed among the best schools in New York state,” said Melissa Burak, the superintendent of Lynbrook schools. “The accomplishments of our students and staff are innumerable and we are pleased that their efforts are reflected in the ranking.”

To compile its rankings, Niche examined SAT/ACT scores, student to teacher ratios, the quality of colleges students consider and reviews from students and parents.

Lynbrook Union Free School District was named among the top 100 districts by Niche in January.
