Police probe North Valley Stream robbery

Nassau County Police are investigating the gunpoint robbery of a Chinese food deliveryman in North Valley Stream Tuesday night.

The man, working for King Long Restaurant, was making a food delivery to a home on Marlowe Road at 9:35 p.m. on Oct. 1. According to police, he stopped when an unknown man called out from the driveway. The man came down the driveway, and a second suspect approached the deliveryman from behind, holding a AK-47 rifle.

According to police, the suspect pointed the gun at the victim and demanded the food and all his money. The robbers then had the victim lay on the ground and searched his pockets before fleeing the scene.

When the deliveryman returned to his car, he noticed that the car keys, a cell phone and cash were stolen.

The suspects are described as black men with thin builds. The first suspect was 6-feet tall, and the second suspect was 5-foot-10. No further descriptions were available. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS.
