Serial robber strikes again in Elmont

A serial robber has been holding up convenience stores, gas stations, and shops with a large kitchen knife throughout Elmont, Valley Stream, and other surrounding communities for the past few months, Nassau County police said.

Police are investigating the latest robbery in the pattern that occurred just after midnight on Tuesday. According to detectives, a male suspect, armed with a large kitchen knife, entered the Dunkin' Donuts on Linden Boulevard in Elmont. He approached the counter area and demanded an employee to open the cash register. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the store and was last seen on foot heading northbound on 238th Street.

He is described as being about 25-years-old, black, six feet tall and about 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and tan work boots. He also had dark sunglasses on, a dark colored cloth across his face and gloves.

Four employees were present during the robbery but none were injured. Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
