Police seek Valley Stream bank robbers

Nassau County Police are investigating a bank robbery in Valley Stream on Sunday afternoon. Two suspects are at large.

Police say that two unknown men entered TD Bank at the corner of West Merrick Road and Central Avenue on March 24 at 1:15 p.m. One of the men sat in a customer service area while the other man handed a note to a teller demanding cash. After receiving an undetermined amount of money, the two suspects left and fled on foot eastbound on Merrick Road.

There were five employees and eight customers in the bank at the time. No injuries were reported.

The first suspect, who handed the note to the teller, is described as a white male, 21 years old, 5-foot-8 with a medium build wearing a black wool hat and black hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, 18 to 21 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 with dark afro-style hair and bleach white Mohawk in the middle of his head.
