Valley Stream alum to play with Clint Black

A Valley Stream Central High School graduate will be opening for country music star Clint Black this Friday night.

Jennifer Grace, known as Jennifer Alfaro when she graduated Central High School in 2001, will be performing with guitarist Eric Moya and bassist Eddie Raia. The concert will take place on March 8 at 8 p.m., at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, Conn.

Grace was the 2012 local Connecticut winner for the Texaco Country Showdown Singing Competition run by Kicks 105.5, and competed in the State Finals in Tunbridge, Vt. this past September. She has recently self-released her debut EP, Let It Rain, comprised of her original country songs which were recorded in Nashville in 2010.

Grace will be performing her latest original song, “Good Enough for Me,” when she opens for Clint Black on Friday. Jennifer Grace is also a wife, mother and Girl Scout Brownie leader.
