The board of trustees voted on Feb. 6 to bond for several projects for the upcoming year.

Village Treasurer Michael Fox said the plans were originally slated for January’s board meeting, but that the bonds were included in the capital plan for the year.

The most valuable bond — $1.5 million — is for the construction of the village’s new waste transfer station.

In addition to the bonds, the board awarded three separate bids for the waste transfer station project on Feb. 13. They were awarded to Melville-based Racanelli Construction Company for the general construction; Holtsville-based Eldor Contracting Corporation for the electrical work and Setauket-based WHM Plumbing and Heating Contractors Inc. for plumbing and heating work. General construction of the station is slated to cost $5.5 million, with electrical and plumbing work to cost a combined $796,000.
