Willow elects student council

This year’s candidates for the Willow Road School’s Student Council.

Willow Road Elementary School held its student council elections on Nov. 12. The new elected representatives are President Freddy Rupert, Vice President Melanie Gangi and Secretary Dominick DeLutri.
Before the official election, candidates addressed grades 3 through 6 at a morning assembly as part of the school’s Meet the Candidates Day. Each candidate stated why they believed they would be the best choice to represent the interests of their fellow students.
Voting took place in classrooms immediately after the assembly. Ballots were counted and the elected representatives were announced.
