A white male suspect fled the scene after he stole an undisclosed amount of money from the Exxon Mobile, located at 206 North Central Avenue, on June 15 at 10:35 p.m.

According to detectives, the man asked the clerk for change of a five dollar bill. After the clerk opened the register, she looked back up and noticed the suspect pointing a black handgun at her. The suspect then reached into the register and removed an undisclosed amount of money, and left the store.

The clerk, who did not sustain any injuries, described the suspect as being of an average height and build, in his 30s with brown “scruffy” facial hair. He was wearing a black knit hat, a black long sleeve T-shirt, blue jeans and light colored sneakers.

Nassau County detectives are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
