Students in Valley Stream headed back to school, in some cases for the first time, on Sept. 4 to begin the 2019-20 school year. This year, the Herald compiled photos from Brooklyn Avenue. Many of the students were all smiles as they sported new accessories, from new lunch boxes to new clothing, while reuniting with friends and meeting their new administrators and staff members.
