Victim’s face slashed in Valley Stream

A male victim’s face was slashed in a robbery on June 14 at 7:15 a.m. while he was walking on Hoffman Street in Valley Stream.

According to Nassau County police, a 19-year-old victim was approached by an unknown male suspect wearing a surgical mask covering his mouth. The suspect then took out a box cutter knife with a red handle and demanded cash. The victim complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money before the suspect cut the victim on the left side of his face. The suspect then ran north on N. Waldinger Street with the proceeds and the victim continued home to his house and called the police. He refused medical treatment for his injuries.

The suspect is best described as a male between 5-foot-11-inches and 6-foot, with a stocky build and dark side burns.
