Cops: Man tried to walk away with child at Green Acres Mall

Nassau County police are looking for a male suspect who allegedly tried to walk away with an unknown child from the Green Acres Mall.

According to detectives, a male suspect grabbed an unknown male child’s hand and tried to walk away from the common area of the Green Acres Mall with the child. The suspect was stopped by the child’s family member, after which the suspect walked away.

The suspect is described as a white male, who is approximately 35-years-old, 5-feet-5-inches tall, 140 pounds. He was wearing a dark green coat, red and white pants and black boots.
