The holidays arrive in Wantagh

Santa and Mrs. Claus lit the Christmas tree as dozens of excited children watched at the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce’s annual holiday lighting ceremony last Sunday afternoon at Triangle Park. The tree and an adjacent menorah will greet commuters arriving home at night at the Wantagh train station for the next several weeks.

A chill was in the air on Sunday afternoon as the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce ushered in the holiday season with its tree and menorah lighting ceremony at Triangle Park, across from the train station.
The Dec. 7 event included a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and performances by Wantagh musical groups.
