Tamara Tunie
Tamara Tunie, familiar to many for her starring roles in the long-running TV series “Law & Order: SVU” and the film “Flight,” switches gears when she visits the Madison Theatre with the Gary Haase Trio. She’ll showcase her musical chops in an evening of delightful tunes, with her jazz concert “Yes, I Sing.” A true triple threat, Tunie will delight the audience with her renditions of great jazz standards, including “Slap that Bass,” “Quiet Nights” and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” among others.
Saturday, March 1, 8 p.m. $35-$45. Madison Theatre, Molloy College, 1000 Hempstead Ave., Rockville Centre. (516) 323-4444 or www.madisontheatreny.org.

Family Fun

Into the Wild
Jungle Jack Hanna, aka America’s favorite zookeeper, Columbus Zoo’s Director Emeritus, returns to the area with some of his many animal friends. Hanna’s live show, “Into The Wild,” features his beloved animal companions, as well as fascinating and humorous stories and footage from his adventures around the world. Everyone — from the youngest child to their grandparents — will be entertained and inspired. Hanna took his infectious energy to the airwaves by creating three of his own nationally syndicated television programs: Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures, Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild and most recently, Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown. Into the Wild is unscripted and action-packed as Hanna and his family explore the corners of the globe in search of amazing animals and cultures, which he shares with his audience during his live show.
Sunday, March 2, 1 p.m. $59.50, $49.50 and $29.50. NYCB Theatre at Westbury, 960 Brush Hollow Rd., Westbury (800) 745-300 or www.ticketmaster.com.
