Joseph Parenti and Lillian Acevedo became engaged on Valentine’s Day.

Joseph Parenti of West Hempstead and Lillian Acevedo of South Ozone Park, Queens announced their Valentine’s Day engagement last week.

Parenti is an accountant and author of a recently-released book, “Miracle on 91st Street: Surviving the Impossible.” Acevedo is a self-employed consultant specializing in marketing and education. The couple is planning a 2016 wedding and will reside in West Hempstead.
