Man caught in drug arrest at W.H. pharmacy

Nassau County police arrested a Hempstead man last week after he attempted to fill a false prescription at a pharmacy in West Hempstead last October.

Trevor Lawry, 28, of Hempstead, walked into a Rite Aid Pharmacy in West Hempstead on Oct. 2, 2013 and presented an employee with a forged prescription, according to police.
At 4:20 p.m. on Feb. 10, police said, Lawry was arrested at Nassau Boulevard and Hawthorne Street, at which point officers found him in possession of 2 bags of MDNA, commonly known as “Molly.”

He was arraigned on Feb. 11 at First District Court in Hempstead and charged with possession of a forged instrument and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
