Robbery at McDonald's in West Hempstead

Nassau County Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on yesterday afternoon at a McDonald's on Hempstead Turnpike.

According to detectives, two men entered the McDonalds located at 380 Hempstead Turnpike and approached the female counter employee. After placing an order, one of the men placed a black plastic bag on the counter along with a demand note. The second man told the cashier to open the cash register drawer as he motioned to his waist band as if he had a weapon. The cashier complied and the subjects fled on foot in and unknown direction with an undetermined amount of cash. No weapon was displayed.

The first subject is described as 5’11” tall, heavyset, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black baseball cap.

Subject two is described as 5’10” tall, thin build, wearing a black vest and a gray sweatshirt, a black winter cap, approximately 30 years old.
