On June 22, Eagle Scout Antonio Verderosa from West Hempstead Troop 240 launched a service project to build a reading garden at Cornwell Avenue School alongside friends, family members and fellow scouts. As part of the project, Verderosa built a table, benches and two planter boxes with vegetables and fruit in the garden so that the school’s cafeteria may feed students with fresh food.
